About this game

GCompris is a high quality educational software suite, including a large number of activities for children aged 2 to 10.

Some of the activities are game orientated, but still educational.

Here is the list of activity categories with some examples:

• computer discovery: keyboard, mouse, touchscreen ...
• reading: letters, words, reading practice, typing text ...
• arithmetic: numbers, operations, table memory, enumeration...
• science: the canal lock, the water cycle, renewable energy ...
• geography: countries, regions, culture ...
• games: chess, memory, align 4, hangman, tic-tac-toe ...
• other: colors, shapes, Braille, learn to tell time ...

Currently GCompris offers more than 150 activities.

The latest version of GCompris is fully translated in 29 languages:
Azerbaijani, Albanian, Basque, Brazilian Portuguese, Breton, British English, Catalan, Catalan (Valencian), Chinese Traditional, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, French, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Malayalam, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish and Ukrainian.

It is also partially translated in: German (96%), Norwegian Nynorsk (96%), Belarusian (83%), Czech (80%) and Turkish (76%).

Ratings and reviews

This is better BY FAR than most "children oriented" games on the playstore. There's a large diversity of minigames for all ages and preferences, multiple languages, available for desktop as well as mobile, updated regularly, ad free... What's not to like??

Very well designed. I also had the PC version. The project builds up the basic concepts of science very intuitively and in a intresting manner.

Wish it had game of go, but otherwise awesome
