Another interesting twist on classic Kairosoft gameplay! While it can be tricky to get the hang of room layouts and monster levelling, and some traps seem far more useful than others (looking at you, goo trap+punch machine), once things click, you're in for a satisfying time. It's fun seeing all the familiar hero classes flood into your castle looking for trouble.

After playing this all the way through here are some thoughts: This game is fun, but a lot of little things could have been changed to make it way better. Ex. The game gives you TONS of monsters to try and level up with to few resources or to little upgraded stats to try and keep up with the attacking adventurers. Traps are key. Actually 2 traps are really key, arrows and goo. Monsters merge should cost money not monster points. There's plenty more but not enough space. Good but not their best

I already want a sequel with the concepts expanded on. This game carries a mixture of Shin Megami Tensai demon fusion, tower defense, and monster collection that all took me away somewhat? I will agree you can quickly invalidate gameplay with long tunnels but I think there's still a push to play it in the way the game wants that rewards you. Also all the creatures are so good, I'd love more dragons, birds, and foxes in the next one. Big Kariosoft fan, this is my #2 fave game now.
