Sync for NHK Easy News is a free and simple app for reading Japanese news articles from NHK News Web Easy. The articles are a great resource for learning upper-beginner to intermediate level Japanese using real-world content.

Quite happy with it. I haven't tried the video or audio too much, but great UI. Can click on words for definitions. Choose to not display furigana for specific words, etc.

Simply an amazing app for Japanese learners, and I'd say it's dang near indispensable. EDIT: The dev added an option to cap the number of articles the app syncs, so now I truly have no criticisms. I still wouldn't mind optional ads or some way to donate! This is one of my all-time favorite learning apps for sure.

The perfect reader! I tried many but the in built translation and individual furigana visibility toggle is ideal. The developer even fixed a bug in the dark theme after I mentioned it. Great work!
