Night has fallen on a little island pier, and Pip the gecko deckhand is out on the planks. Mangoes are ripening on the boards, and the old harbor cannons are running their night drill. Scamper Isle is a quick one-thumb arcade game about timing your grabs and keeping your tail out of the way.
HOW IT PLAYS
• Swipe anywhere on the screen and Pip hops one plank in that direction. The pier is a 4×4 deck, so every plank is always within reach.
• Mangoes grow right on the planks. A green mango is worth 10 points, a golden one 20 and a glowing ripe one 30. Wait too long, though, and an overripe mango drops into the lagoon.
• Before a cannon fires, a glowing fuse runs along its row or column and a spark burns down toward the cannon. When the spark reaches it, a cannonball rolls straight across the pier. Step off the lit lane in time.
• Three bumps and the night is over. A new night starts with a single tap.
A NIGHT THAT BUILDS UP
Every few seconds the night picks up: fuses get shorter, cannonballs roll faster, more lanes light up at once and more mangoes ripen together. The rules never change, only the pace, so a typical night lasts about a minute or two and every attempt teaches you something.
