GAME MECHANICS
Control the fish by tilting the phone/tablet. Alternatively you can also use a controller or a Sphero.

Eat food to gain health. Avoid touching goo as it decreses health. Complete the objectives but beware of the shadowfish.

LEVELS
In each level you have to complete one of four objectives: survive for a specified amount of time; quickly follow a trail of rings; clear checkpoints; eat food with caution to reach a specific amount of health. Every level is different, be it food quantity, goo quantity, speed, size, movement patterns, health lost rate, number and speed of shadowfish. All these combined make each level unique.

ARCADE
Survive as long as possible. Arcade starts with lots of food and some goo, but over time the food gets more rare and more goo appears. The fish also loses more health as time passes. Then appears the shadowfish. Survive, until the inevitable end...

Ratings and reviews

I'm not into games. Not on my phone especially. But I tried something new and am pleasantly surprised. Thevisual simplicity of this game is incredibly relaxing. The gentle yet mildly somber music plays nicely into the sense of loneliness of the last fish and creates a deeply emotional connection for the player. I personally have had bouts of depression throughout my life and at times felt like this fish: alone, under threat, just surviving with no other aim in life. Yet, fish & i must go on...

Overall a nice, polished little game, and It was fun while it lasted. I wouldn't mind seeing more Sphero games like this and Exile in the play store. It really makes a great controller for these arcade style games.

Tilt controls are surprisingly great. Visual and level design are great. Just the right amount of challenge. Couldn't ask for a better gameplay experience. Just wish it was longer.
