gogonut emulates the sound of a walking horse. With every step you take, the app plays a hoofbeat — the classic sound made by knocking two coconut halves together.
THREE HOOFBEATS PER STRIDE
The phone's accelerometer picks up each stride in real time and fires the hooves instantly. Their rhythm tightens as you speed up: walk, trot, gallop.
TWO WAYS TO PLAY
• AUTO — steps are detected on their own while you walk.
• MANUAL — detection is off; you knock the shells together by tapping the screen.
YOUR STEPS, COUNTED PROPERLY
The daily step count comes from the phone's hardware pedometer, the same sensor fitness apps use, so it stays accurate and ignores random shaking. From your height and weight, gogonut can estimate the distance you covered, the energy you burned and the CO2 you exhaled — all optional, all on your phone.
MAKE IT YOURS
Choose which panels appear on the home screen (pace, cadence, distance, energy, CO2), tune the detection sensitivity with a live signal meter, and switch sound or vibration on and off.
NOTHING LEAVES YOUR PHONE
gogonut collects no personal data, opens no network connection and sends nothing anywhere. There is no account, no advertising, no tracker and no analytics. Your profile and your step count stay on the device, and are erased when you uninstall the app.
PERMISSIONS
• Physical activity — to read the phone's hardware step counter. If you decline it, the app still works, estimating steps from the accelerometer.
• Vibration — to buzz on each step. You can turn it off.
