Welcome to the only musical scales app you are ever going to need!

This app will generate any musical scale or arpeggio - if it has a key, there will be a scale for it in this app!. It uses the wonderful "Circle of Fifths" to provide a scroll wheel type interface for selecting the key (think Apple iPod - they got that idea from us you know!). Then select the type of scale you want:

✅ Clef: Treble, Bass or Alto
✅ Scale or arpeggio
✅ Type: Regular, Chromatic, Dominant 7th, Diminished 7th
✅ For Minor scales: natural, Harmonic, Melodic
✅ Number of octaves: 1 to 3

Click "Generate Scale" and the musical notation for the selected scale is shown full screen. You can also long-click a key from the selector wheel to immediately show the scale using current settings.

The key selector wheel is colour coded so the corresponding minor key with the same root is the same colour. (e.g. C major and C minor). When you select a key both the selected key and the correspond major/minor are both highlighted.

On the scale display screen, you can easily adjust the starting octave simply by double clicking the screen (left side to lower the octave, right side to raise the octave). I know... its awesome right?
