No Unless I'm doing something terribly wrong....the app has trouble finding the sun, with the gyros on or off. When it does manage to find the sun, as soon as I move my device to check where the sun will be at a later time, the path jumps all over. Impossible to get an accurate read on where the sun will be.... A frustrating waste of time and money..
Yes it works great but The first time I wanted to use it for real I'm way out in the boondocks with no internet connection what so ever and this pice of dodo shows a message something to the tune of copyright and will not work till it can connect. That just ain't right.
Saved My Shoot I usually use TPE to plan my lighting for shoots, but sometimes it's hard to tell exactly where landmarks will be in reference to the sun or moon. With this app on my HTC One (M8), I can pre-visualize exactly how things will look at any given time on any given day, assuming the weather cooperates. Tonight was a super moon. I had used TPE to select an appropriate location to shoot from. But when I got there and used this app, it turned out I was a couple miles off. This app saved the shoot.
Excellent and Precise Very easy, precise and usefull. A 2d google map location and sun / moon / shadow plan representation would be an easy and usefull feature. Should be also possible put these to images. The hard features are fine and done.
Good Keep up the good work
TUSHAR. IT'S VERY USEFULL 2 CINEMATOGRAPHER TO PLAN SHOOTING SCHEDUAL/TIME... EXCELLENT..
2.7: You can now predict where the sun will be... if reflected in water!
2.6: If your phone is equipped with gyroscopic sensors, the application uses them in order to further improve the image stabilization.
2.4: Image stabilization has been improved, so using the app will be more comfortable. Feel free to post comments on the Facebook page of the application!
