Used to be more accurate and fast. I've used the Pro version for multiple years for photographs. However, within the last year it became much less accurate and slow. Before, I'd see a strike and this would show it within a few seconds, and within a few hundred feet of the actual strike. Unfortunately, now strikes won't show for multiple minutes, or at all. If they do finally show, they are off by 1000's of feet. I wish it was as reliable as it used to be.

I am a communications technician and work daily in large radio tower sites, which just scream to the passing storm clouds: "you know you wanna hit this." Luckily, this app has worked every time to alert me when a lightning storm is headed my way. With the ability to set a perimeter ring around my location, set decay time of the lightning strike indicators, and the simple and easy to use interface, it was a no-brainer to go with the Pro version for less $ than a beer at the local dive bar.

Overall I really like this app. I work in construction and our safety policy for outdoor work requires a 30-minute safety stand-down after a lightning strike within 10 miles. The ability to set a time of day for notifications to begin and end is great, but being able to set days of the week would be very helpful. I only need the app on workdays. Not a big deal, just something I think about every time I use the app. Overall, a great app though.
