A cheap app with a cheap service and no customer desk. As long as everything goes smoothly, it does the trick. The moment though when you face an issue (i bought an item with shipping included to markplaats that was never shipped) then you see the limits of this app. Everything automated, one way communication, no customer service and if they are to send the money of the item back, they do not reimburse the shipping fees i paid to them, even if it was not used. To be used at your own risk!

Generally the app works okay. However (not app related) one of the big issues that Marktplaats has, is an almost complete lack of customer service. The chat is the best example of a non-functional automated system in which it is almost impossible to get hold of an actual human being š¤·š¼āāļø The same goes for reporting app related bugs. I hoped to find a contact address here to report a bug related to the recently introduced dark mode, but to no avail. EDIT after comment: what in app support?

Last 5 months the app had some pretty big updates and they completely broke the user experience. The amount of ads just makes finding things very cumbersome, the AI features are extremely annoying instead of being helpful and the worst of all is that the chat feature (to contact buyers & sellers) just completely fails to load conversations multiple times per week. For me the app has absolutely become a nightmare to use, even though i have a new Samsung galaxy.
