THE COACH IN EVERY GAME
Play a word and the engine plays the same rack itself, then shows you the move it would have made and what it was worth. The best move is not always the biggest number: a smaller score that leaves you a workable rack beats a bigger one that leaves you stuck, and the coach names both. Your accuracy is the share you took of what that best move was worth, and it goes up even in games you lose. That is the only honest measure of how well you play, because it does not depend on your draw. The coach is in every game, including against the computer, and it costs nothing: no subscription, no account, no connection.
THREE WAYS TO PLAY, ONE ENGINE
• Classic. The game you already know. Fifteen by fifteen, the premium squares in the places your fingers expect, blanks, exchanges, the endgame rules.
• Claim. Every tile you place is yours, and running a new word through a tile takes it over. Your score is what you hold right now, so a small word in the right place beats a big one in the wrong place, and nobody is ever mathematically out of it. A six-year-old understands this mode instantly.
• Same Rack. You and your opponent hold the identical seven tiles, every turn, on the same board. You each submit blind, you are each paid for what YOU found, and only the better move goes down. There is no lucky draw to lose to. This is how competitive crossword play removes luck; Lexo puts it in your pocket against one friend.
A FAIR TABLE FOR EVERY PLAYER
• Set a vocabulary level, and it binds both sides. Everyday, common, wide, or the full list. The opponent plays inside the same dictionary you do, so a beginner is never beaten by a two-letter word neither of you has met, and a champion still gets the whole language.
• Five opponent strengths, from Gentle to Champion. A weaker opponent chooses a weaker move; it never plays badly. There is nothing to learn from an opponent whose mistakes make no sense.
