About this app

Get recreational fish species information on the go with the NZ Fishing Rules App. The application helps you to identify recreational fish species common in your area through images, then displays relevant information such as the minimum legal size, maximum daily limits and area bag limits. Short videos embedded within the application show how to release undersize fish correctly and also how to measure/determine the sex of crayfish. Local notices will give you updates on any temporary closures in the area.

Would be great if the App could be made to work offline, many harvesting spots are out of good coverage areas and makes checking your limits difficult or impossible. Please look into this. Also struggles to get past the disclaimer page on a regular basis.

Thanks Jelte, the app does work offline. It would be great if you can email and let us know how you're experiencing this. Also, if you're able to update to the latest version we have increased the performance of the issue you raise.

Excellent info, regular updates. Missing many illustrations of species and has done so for many yrs now. Identification is basic information to apply the purpose of the app. Major fail

Thanks Steps, there are around 2-3 images of species we have not been able to source, however the rest should be there. If they are not, there might be an issue. Are you able to email with the species you cannot see? Thanks
