Oké-what?
Okérico — where does that name come from? It's one of a kind, just like the people who work the land. Ok: are you OK? That's the question we want everyone in farming to ask themselves, every single day. Cocorico: the French cry of the rooster, the very symbol of rural life — the guardian of the barnyard, the one who sounds the alarm before danger strikes. Rico: Spanish for "rich" — rich in land, rich in values, rich enough to keep the farm going for the next generation. A word borrowed from the language spoken by the workers who come from abroad to lend a hand on our farms.
Our farmers work hard, and too often they put themselves last. Okérico is there to remind them that they are at the very heart of the farm.
Okérico: a healthy mind for healthy land.
Okérico: farmer mental health — daily self-assessment, well-being, prevention
