Crosswire puts the world's front pages side by side, exactly as their editors published them.
No feed. No algorithm. No summaries. Two, three or four live newspaper home pages on one screen, so you can see for yourself what a country's press is leading with today — and how differently the same day can be framed.
WHY IT'S DIFFERENT
Every other news app decides what you should read. Crosswire decides nothing. It shows you the front page a newsroom built, in its own layout and its own hierarchy, next to a rival's. What one paper splashes across the top, another may not carry at all. That gap is the story — and you can only see it side by side.

For every country with enough sources, Crosswire has curated comparisons: a left-leaning, a centrist and a right-leaning outlet, chosen from a directory of 907 newsrooms with approximate editorial leanings drawn from widely cited media-bias assessments. Open a country and the spectrum is already arranged for you. These comparisons are free, in every country, forever.

On a phone, panes stack and stay readable. On a tablet — in landscape, in split screen, in any window size — they sit side by side. There is no account and no sign-up. Your favourites, layout and language stay on your device. Crosswire does not track what you read, does not use your location — your edition comes from your device language — and does not build a profile of you.
ABOUT THE FRONT PAGES
Pages load live from each publisher through Crosswire's proxy, which normalises them to a consistent light theme so you compare journalism rather than site chrome. Nothing is rewritten and nothing is republished: tapping a headline takes you to the publisher's own site. Whether a front page appears is partly outside Crosswire's control: publishers' own servers can block automated requests, rate-limit them, or simply be slow or down. Around 5% of the directory can't be previewed in a given week for those reasons. Crosswire checks every outlet weekly, says so up front, and offers to open those in your browser instead.
Crosswire is made by a small independent team, funded by readers, and takes no money from any outlet it lists.
