About this app

Emulator of the HP 48 scientific calculator, using RPN. Port of the X48 project (sources available on github). HP48's "grayscale mode" cannot be emulated.

Visit www.hpcalc.org for a large program collection.

Cool tip: tap the HP's LCD to show/hide a simpler numeric pad !

Very good emulation. The solver functions differently than my 48g/gx. Especially with the TMV function. One cannot move thru the data fields with the directional keys like the original. Some moves are allowed others are not and have to be made with the enter key. Also some of the loan length calculations seemed to miss calculate. The number display is not a extensive either. However this is one of the best emulations I have used.

i enjoy using this since i have been a long time hp48g user. i do miss the authentic button clicks. one flaw is that the random number generator isn't random. every time the app starts the function returns the same sequence of values. maybe base the seed in current time or something rather than returning sequential entries in an array (which is what it seems to be doing).

We need a way to type the absolute path to internal storage rather than rely on the device to find it. From about Android 5 up the true path name is /storage/emulated/0 if you own the device. If you don't own it it is /storage/emulated/10 or /storage/emulated/11 etc. We need to be able to bring up the keyboard and type this in. The emulator is having trouble finding internal storage. It shows the emulated folder but the names. 0, 10, 11, etc. are hidden but may be typed
