About this app

On some Android™ devices, the file manager is already available on the system. We did not even pass it as name files, so we developed a shortcut to open it directly in the file manager
This app may not work on all Android devices.

Very grateful for this "app". It does exactly what I need it to do: open the "Files" app that is already a part of Android. Nothing more, nothing less. (Sad that this is even necessary; a big 👎 to whoever in Google and/or Motorola that decided to make native Files not only hidden but unable to be marked as visible.) Thank you Delta 8 for making a workable solution! 👍

Thanks for adding this... I had read how to create a shortcut myself, but have had little need to do this for other system apps so why reinvent the wheel. Now if you can convince google to just add it by default, then all the better. I was looking for it because I'd rather access the native File app just like all other apps... while this can be opened from my notifications when I attach external storage, the shortcut in my apps folder is less awkward to use.

Works exactly as advertised. It simply opens the default file browser. Got a Motorola g82 and without this app accessing the default file browser is only possible by using a SD card. I don't understand why they are forcing the user to use Google's Files version to force even more data collection from just browsing your local files.
