About this app

MANAGED INFO HUB is a managed support, documentation, and EMM companion utility for Android Enterprise-managed devices.

Designed for modern enterprise deployments, it provides administrators with a flexible way to present guidance, surface device information, expose trust-based signals, and where required replace the native launcher or kiosk experience through application layouts and info cards.

Rather than relying on external web portals, bookmarks, or static kiosk layouts, MANAGED INFO delivers a fully managed, policy-driven application that adapts to the role, configuration, and lifecycle of each device.

With MANAGED INFO HUB, you can:
- Provide quick actions to common support endpoints and resources
- Write detailed guidance on how to use or manage the device in question
- Provide contact details
- Display device information
- Launch applications and design custom card layouts
- Take over the native home screen/launcher with a fully-bespoke layout

You can do all of this, or none of this! The application is completely flexible in what cards to show to end users to suit your needs.

Beyond presentation, MANAGED INFO HUB can operate as a managed companion application alongside your EMM or management solution.

With integration of the Android Management API (AMAPI) SDK, MANAGED INFO can execute and surface management workflows directly on the device, including:

- Installation of custom applications (APK-based apps)
- Certificate installation and management, including trusted CAs and key pairs
- Setup actions during enrolment
- Device trust and integrity signals
- Location reporting
- Metadata reporting
- Managed, read-only device dashboards for support and troubleshooting
- Device wallpaper management

Notes:

Features rely on various levels of EMM integration or policy application. Read the documentation for more details.

💼 MANAGED INFO is intended for Android Enterprise environments, and will not function as intended without a managed configuration. The default information is a placeholder and should not be used in production.

🚨 READ_PHONE_STATE is an optional permission that will ONLY be requested when an administrator grants the CERT_INSTALL delegated scope. It it used to show device identifiers within MANAGED INFO and makes it much easier to request this information from end-users.

🚨 QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES is a declared permission for organisations that choose to leverage MANAGED INFO's app card and app grid functionality to build a bespoke kiosk environment. Application information does not leave devices.

🚨 LOCATION - Precise, foreground service, & background - is a declared permission for organisations that wish to collect and upload managed device location information to their *OWN* EMM and/or infrastructure. If an organisation policy does not define API details, accuracy, and frequency through managed configuration, location cannot and will not be collected. MANAGED INFO additionally supports a foreground service to improve frequency and reliability of location configs mandating collection more often than every 30 minutes. This service is not impervious to sleep/dose behaviour, but does ensure more frequent updates.
