About this app

Learn the biblical languages with Biblingo - the only language-learning app that provides everything you need to go from zero knowledge of Koine Greek (New Testament), Biblical Hebrew (Hebrew Bible), and Latin (Vulgate) to reading the Bible in its historic languages — all in one place.

Imagine rediscovering the Torah like Josiah in his day. Or reading Paul's letter to the Galatians like it just arrived in the mail.

Embark on your biblical language learning journey today! You’ll learn Greek/Hebrew/Latin vocabulary and grammar through interactive lessons that immerse you in the biblical world.

As your fluency develops, you will be able to read more and more texts from Scripture in your language of choice. The Bible reading tab of Biblingo gives you the full Hebrew Bible or Greek New Testament (Latin Vulgate coming soon) indexed by the percentage of words you know in each book or chapter. This allows you to identify which sections of the Bible are most readable so you can dive in.

Biblingo’s proven methodology is based on the latest research in linguistics and second language acquisition. Students can learn to not only read the Bible, but to interpret God’s Word more faithfully through developing exegetical skill. The curriculum covers four semesters worth of university content, including:

Biblical Greek 1 & 2
Greek Exegesis 1 & 2
Biblical Hebrew 1 & 2
Hebrew Exegesis 1 & 2
Latin 1 & 2
Latin Exegesis 1 & 2 (coming soon)

Biblingo is as academically rigorous as it is fun to use!

I really like the app, the concept and my progress. I am not new to biblical languages but not an advanced student. In 10 days of trial I almost finished 10 full lessons of Greek. I decided to subscribe (just Greek). In just a little less than 2 weeks I saw a substantial improvement in my overall language comprehension. Reading becomes less strenuous. I literally understand more. I am unsure how that would be without my previous knowledge, but in my case, this app works extremely well so far.

App is fine, lessons are very poor. I have a one year membership, trying to learn Greek. It starts off easy with vocab, but soon becomes too difficult when you get to sentences. Grammar is not explained well and the app allows you to progress when you're not ready. Eventually you get to where you can't progress. There are notes and videos as but they don't explain things in enough detail. I bought a book and learned more in the first short chapter than in 3 chapters using the app.

The convience of having access to my review material without the need for my laptop can't be overstated. Being able to break up my learning instead of having one large block of time keeps my mind fresh and is far more accessible. I am looking forward to the the learning module and other updates in the coming months. Also, I just need to point out how responsive the support team is. I love the program and love that they are bringing the platform to mobile for easker use.
