About this app

Welcome to Network Canvas Interviewer!

Interviewer is a survey tool specifically optimized for networks research. The app administers Network Canvas protocols, allowing you to capture rich data about individuals and their networks through intuitive and engaging touch-optimized interfaces. The workflow is simple and tactile, designed to lower response burden and improve the interview experience.

This app is part of a free, open-source suite of tools for the collection of social network data called "Network Canvas", which has been developed through the Complex Data Collective, a registered not-for-profit, and funded by the National Institutes of Health (R01 DA042711). Network Canvas is a collaboration between Northwestern University and the University of Oxford, managed out of Northwestern’s Institute for Sexual and Gender Minority Health and Wellbeing.

For user documentation, further information about the project, and download links for the other apps in the suite, visit https://networkcanvas.com.

Please support this project by sharing this tool with your networks. Tell us about the research you are conducting using Network Canvas Interviewer or send us a note with your feedback. Our project team can be reached at info@networkcanvas.com.

What's new

This release of Interviewer includes bugfixes and general improvements. It fixes the behaviour of sort options and adjusts some small visual aspects of the app, which may change the Interview experience. We recommend updating to this version if your study can accommodate these changes, or you are yet to start data collection.
