About this app

The Calvert Library app is your portal to the library's services from your mobile devices. Check your account, search the catalog, use your digital library card, renew items, check out ebooks from OverDrive and get the latest recommended reads suggestions. You can even use it to check out books while you’re visiting a Calvert Library location.

Summary and detailed descriptions are at your fingertips, plus reviews and lists of similar items.

All our events are shown in the app and you can filter by location, age and event type.

Want to check whether we have a book you've just seen in a café? You can scan the book's barcode and we'll check whether any branches have it.

Our location finder shows you the nearest branch to where you are. You can see opening hours at a glance and get directions to any of our four library locations.

Access digital content - ebooks, audiobooks, music, movies, magazines and more with quick links to apps from Overdrive, Freegal, Lynda, Hoopla, Beanstack and RBDigital. For OverDrive you can check out and read or listen all from within the app.

Ratings and reviews

I like this app so far. It's convenient to have my library card barcode accessible via app rather than carrying it in my pocket like I usually do. The one feature it's missing that would be really helpful is being able to access our "lists" on our account. I use lists to organize the books I need for homeschooling for the year & being able to access the lists from the app to then place on hold is the one feature keeping me from using the app exclusively versus having to use my mobile browser.
