About this app

How it works: Through the DNS providers you create a hostname to be used on your IP. The IP of a device connected to the World Network often changes and you always need to provide your new IP so someone can connect to your network. With a hostname, this complication is eliminated. Your ip gets a name and you don't have to worry when the ip changes.

This app makes sure your external IP is the same as the hostname IP provided by the DNS provider. When your IP changes the application will send the new IP to the DNS provider to be linked with the hostname.

Seems to do what I want but removing ads asks for an agreement from which I can't withdraw without naming a price or clear terms. Once that is fixed 5 stars. Yes, it says 10.99 here in the plastered but is this permanent or a subscription? It should say right in the app what the conditions are.

It works, but stop f***ing asking me to enable notifications every f***ing time. I don't want to do that for a reason. You don't need to ask that every f***ing time. I would rate 5 star, becaus it works for me, but because it is so annoying with forcing you to enable notifications and location permssions, you don't deserve more than 2 stars. And this is comming from senior software developer. I think I will need to find another app for updating ip of duckdns.

GUI could be more polished and ads are unwelcome. It's not obvious that you have to go into 'manager' to start the updating. But hey it's free and it works. Particularly like the option to only update when connected to a specific WiFi network.
