About this app

The hallmark tool of the Count the Kicks public health campaign empowers expectant parents to track their babies’ movements daily in the third trimester of pregnancy. Research shows a change in fetal movement can be the earliest and sometimes only indication that a baby is in distress in utero and should be checked by a provider. Kick counting is also a great way to bond with your baby!

Count the Kicks app features include:
• The ability to download and send kick counting data directly from the app
• Available in 12 languages: Amharic, Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Haitian-Creole, Hindi, Marshallese, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, and Vietnamese
• Users can track movements for single babies or twins
• Easy-to-read graphs that show your baby’s normal movement history
• Login via social media or accounts such as Google or Microsoft
• Daily interactive and educational messages that appear after a kick session has been saved
• Notifications to remind users to count kicks
• An optional survey for users to inform us of their experience using the app and the outcome of their pregnancy
• "Baby save" stories within the app and the ability for users to submit a baby save story directly from the app
3rd trimester? Counting Kicks is what moms should do-It’s important & easy too!

Great app, easy to use, doesn't require wifi when tracking like other apps. I'm a loss mama. Often times I will complete a session and it won't register it properly so the next time I go in to start a new session, it's been ticking away for hours, causing an inaccuracy. Wish I could just track kicks overall rather than count to 10, and that data was better sorted to identify baby's most active times. A lot could be done to improve this app, and I'd love to see that happen!

This app is easy to use with one big button to click for every kick. I wish they would more easily track active times of day. .. also if they had a start and stop time for active times not just counting until 10 kicks. I'm trying to track when my baby is most active as well as kicks. And possibly a notes section for "after a meal" " after a work out" ect so you can tell what activity is making your little one move.

Thank you so much for the feedback! These are all great ideas, I'll be sure to share with the team. I know for certain we will be adding a notes section within the next couple of months. We love the feedback we receive from users and truly consider it. Happy Counting!

I appreciate this app for it's straightforward simplicity and ease of use. My biggest complaint is after the most recent update--Each time I open the app or complete a kick count, a form launches asking me for extensive personal information. This includes full name, email, DOB, and ZIP code. There's no info about why they're asking or it how it will be used. There's no option to opt out, so I see the form twice per session. It feels intrusive, and it's making me look into other options.
