Hitchwiki Maps is a free, community-built map for hitchhikers, made from real logged rides -- not guesses.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
- Find hitchhiking spots worldwide, each with a rating, typical wait time, and comments from people who hitched there.
- Plan a route between two cities using connections other hitchhikers have actually made, not just road directions.
- Track a live journey: start hitching, log each ride as you go, and see your trip build leg by leg.
- Log your own rides afterward to help the next traveler -- wait time, distance, rating, a comment, even a photo.
- See a heatmap of typical waiting times to judge a region before you go.
- Download a country's spots for offline use when you have no signal.

Every spot and rating comes from Hitchwiki and Hitchmap, two long-running, independent hitchhiking projects, plus everyone using this app. Nothing here is generated -- it's what other hitchhikers actually experienced.
WHY IT'S DIFFERENT
No ads, no account required to browse, no invented "best route" claims. The map is only as good as what people share, so every ride you log makes it better for someone else.
Open data, released under ODbL -- the community owns it, not us.
