Mopria Print Service enables printing over Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi Direct from your Android smartphone or tablet to Mopria® certified printers and multi-function printers (MFPs).

Easily print photos, web pages and documents when your mobile device is connected to a Mopria® certified printer through a wireless network or using Wi-Fi Direct®. Control print settings such as color, number of copies, duplex, paper size, page range, media type and orientation. In the workplace, take advantage of the advanced punching, folding, stapling, PIN printing, user authentication, and accounting features.

The Mopria Print Service also allows users to print using the Share feature from many of their favorite apps including Facebook, Flipboard, LinkedIn, Twitter and Pinterest, giving users the power to print easily. When using the Share feature, users will see a Mopria Print Service option is included as an option after email and messaging. The Share icon is conspicuously placed and users simply select the Mopria Print Service option, select their printer, adjust settings and print.

Mopria Print Service is pre-installed on some Android and Amazon devices. The device manufacturer determines which devices have the Mopria Print Service pre-installed and if the Mopria Print Service can be uninstalled from such devices.

EDIT: It looks like the common issue is landscape. Portrait allows you to choose Borderless printing. Landscape does not. I've been using Mopria for years without issue. Unfortunately, a recent undate removed my ability to print borderless on certain designs. If this can be fixed, that would be great. Otherwise, I will likely need another app for printing.

Tried HP print apps, all said the same thing, " printer not found " After 3 days of trying to get a brand new printer to work and using help desk to try and fix things I gave up. Heard about Mopria print app, decided to try it. Installed it and it works like a charm. If you open the app, it gives you information about the printer and ink levels. Otherwise, it runs in the background and gets the job done.

I have MF264dw Canon printer. Not even Canons apps or Print Svc could find my printer on my Android. But this one could! Problem is I had to have the "Direct Connection" turned on because the printers hooked up with ethernet to my home network & my phone was hooked up via Wi-Fi. It couldn't connect to the printer so with "Direct Connection" on, the printer showed! I opened a PDF & went to try to print but the page blanked out and it said this svc isn't available. So in the end it didn't work.
