The Best Browser on Android, Too! I am a huge Firefox fan. I'm an open-source activist and love the functionality Firefox brings to your mobile and desktop devices. Firefox is fast, advanced, secure, customizable and fun! I can't get enough of Firefox! The developers did a great job and are still continuing to do a wonderful job. Great add-ons selection as well. No bugs on my end -- it's a perfect browser. Firefox for Android was meant to be used the way you'd use it on your laptop/computer. I'm also a person who prefers a smartphone and can customize an Android to be more powerful than any computer. That being said, Firefox brings desktop experiences to mobile which is why I love it so much. It does a fantastic job at bringing mobile/Android browsing to the next generation.
I love Mozilla. That's what I use and recommend for people. Please help me here, can you make the PC version as cool as this? I can open any amount of tabs on mobile and still experience the same speed but on PC it's gets slow easily and hangs sometimes. I've been an evangelist for Mozilla, so I can't leave it. So I did some inspection on PC, I think Mozilla uses only one instance to run thereby makes it slow sometime whereas other browser I check splits out multiple instances, thereby keeping them super fast. Please don't tell me it might be my system, I've 16gb of ram, 3.5gz processor speed, 1 Tb of hard disk 😃 Thanks, please fix PC Mozilla, cheers.
This browser is slow, sometimes stops loading pages and worst of all long scripts completely disable the app, making it totally unresponsive. Another bug is small clickable links which do not register clicks unless I pinch and zoom to resize the screen. This app is a disgrace
Slow rendering. Horrendous RAM usage - 330MB with 1 tab open, sync account linked, no ABP or Ghostery used and yet this amount of RAM used. As others have declared, bookmarking for Firefox for Android is awful. I want a mobile bookmarks category with the ability to save/sort to desktop bookmarks. Please don't force me to go back to Chrome. Microsoft already forced me to leave SwiftKey. :'(
Loading tabs to read offline no longer works - Firefox automatically refreshes every time I switch to the tab. I tried using Reader mode but Firefox still refreshes when I switch to the Reader tabs. So if I have no cell reception or wifi, I can't read the pages I've already downloaded. I think Firefox wants me to use Pocket (which they now own) but I'm not interested in installing another add-on to fix what they seem to have deliberately broken.
I was really happy with the browser, until my internal memory began to disappear without a trace. After much hassle I found out Firefox had consumed 7GB of space and dumped a folder called 'memory-logs' with a load of GC & CC logs inside. I can only assume this is some kind of catastrophic bug that needs sorting.
This browser simply uses too much CPU and therefore battery. Also in the background when not using. When running this on custom ROMs, I've noticed Firefox using Game Rotation Vector for hours. Switching to Brave improves battery life noticeably. Really wish that I could use Firefox but the loss of battery life is not worth it.
