Review from david gunnells
Better than stock... ...but that isn't saying much. HTML5 test score of only 421 + 14 bonus points puts this well behind other beta versions of browsers. This feels smoother and faster than previous builds, and can interact with some sites better than other mobile browsers. Supports flash on jelly bean, a plus.
Still not interested in the automatic colour changing Notification bar, I prefer it dark. Please let us have a choice in the options if possible. Still laggy, especially with ad blocking addons, if you can find one that works. How about Firefox Focus, but with the features of regular Firefox?
I like beta because it updates more frequently than mainline, but less than every day like the nightly build. I wouldn't use a non-open source browser period. I should have control of my device, what it does, and how it does it, but because the web software is extremely complex and hard/long to write code for, I'm at the mercy of others to provide the software, but that's where open source steps in and saves the day. I will always have freedom to choose, and freedom to change the data and experience I want.
My preferred browser, and I often use the "share tab" function with my desktop Firefox. But the mobile version is quite frustrating (unlike desktop) because my currently open tabs are not restored in the same order. They're restored in some random order, and I don't know why.
I like it but I give 4 stars because of annoying/dangerous bug. If you synchronize passwords on different devices you should be warned that master password is off especially if you use it on one of the other devices.
Font sizes in web pages are not changing according to system font size.Give us options to rearrange pinned sites, bookmarks. Inbuilt player is very basic, not even has volume, brightness, progress gesture controls. Some webpages are not formatted for mobile correctly, and not displaying all information on web page. Downloads don't have pause option. Add a feature to select text anywhere on the web( especially on Facebook). Scrolling down the webpages is not smooth enough. Finding the add-ons which support Firefox android is very difficult. Finally Firefox is not as fast as chrome but I use it anyway.
For the past month it has been inexcusably, unacceptably slow. Not even active on the connection, just the app pissfarting around. For a month.
