Extremely basic. No pause or forward/backward functions for recorded content. One cannot go back 10s to relisten to something that they wanted to hear again without restarting the whole content piece nor can they forward through annoying filler music nor can they pause when needed. Other NPR station apps, like WBUR are much more friendly and useful for a listener.

App provides great listening service for news, however- it's a bit buggy. If you pause it, it will start playing again when you play other audio, and the option in settings to stop audio when app is closed does not work. Once you navigate away from settings, it will forget it. If you need to use your microphone, the audio will also start again, and to stop it you need to Force Stop the app under app settings. Definitely needs to be fixed.

For the Station & Content: 4.5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐ For How Often The App Crashes: 3.0 Stars ⭐⭐⭐ For the UI Experience (esp. Sharing): 1.0 Stars ⭐ Sry, but you do make sharing on this so difficult and a couple of networks share buttons: FB & BlueSky specifically say "The App is Not Set Up" when you try to use them, as of 10/23/2025? Copy Link is also unreliable, so you have to start an email and then copy the link from there and then delete the Outlook or G-Mail Draft..not very implemented tbh :/
