Good start-update to 5 stars They fixed the scrolling problem. Now it's pretty much perfect. Thanks! // Everything is pretty good here, except that the scroll for next article feature should be horizontal, not vertical. You barely get to the bottom of the text before it launches you to the next article. It's very frustrating. Fix that and five stars.
Streaming stops I was so excited to hear I could stream MPRNews with this app! Sadly, regardless of whether I'm streaming using my data service (full bars) or wireless, the streaming cuts out after 5 minutes or so. Every time, no exceptions. I use this app primarily to listen on my bus commute, so it's quite frustrating. I may as well delete it.
A few annoyances Scrolling is broken in article view (but weirdly works normally on the home page screen). When I swipe it only goes down a few lines at a time no matter how fast I swipe. Also, I'd like to have the navigation between articles be a side swipe and not a scroll down. Side swipe is the standard for UI - I haven't seen scroll down to change pages in any other app (because it's not a good thing). Otherwise a good app and I use it daily.
A god-awful app, made worse by the great content. This app does not work. It crashes constantly. This wouldn't be a big deal if the actual radio content was awful, but MPR is awesome. This app makes it impossible for me to get MPR's content. It's like a puzzle box with a $100 bill in it.
The scrolling ineptitude in app wastes time, frustrating. Obviously MPR does not respect its listners enough to fix these problem. This is from someone who contributes $30/mo.
Needs work Application needs direct links to browser based articles and/or comment ability. The way the ads pop up after scrolling is very annoying. I would like to see a way to turn off ads if you are a contributing member. I also don't like the way it jumps back to the top of the news last when you back out of an article, it should stay where it was when you clicked on an article.
