The NAIC Home Inventory App makes it easy for you to upload photos and scan barcodes to quickly create a record of all your belongings. It also provides helpful tips around disaster mitigation and filing an insurance claim.

Ratings and reviews

The App looks abandoned. The photo and video upload tool doesn't work. App cannot export a database file containing both images, video, and text all in a single import/export tool. Don't use this app if you ever plan to get a new phone because you'll need to rebuild your entire inventory again. The PDF and CSV export tools are useless for transferring data to a new phone.

Super easy to use. However..Initially, I exported a trial pdf list with fewer than 10 photos and it worked fairly well. Once I completed the entire inventory, I could not email the list at all in any format except csv. Pp hotos were sent to my gallery but I couldn't export the spreadsheet via email. It would be nice to be able to select a room at a time to export, or a group of rooms. Also, I would like to be able to add or rename a line item, such as I'd like to be able to add a column.

This app has amazing potential. It has disaster preparedness plans plus how to place a claim with your insurance company. A lot of helpful information. The big problem I have concerns with is the pics do not attach themselves to the home inventory report. If you have to prove you owned an item you have to search your photo app. During stressful times you will find it difficult to search thru thousands of pics to match inventory items. That is if your phone is still functional.
