Great App! It would be great if it was possible to pause the compass once the view is aligned or if the movement was a little bit filtered because (at least on my phone) the peaks overlay is really trembling. Some problem exporting the photos, it seems that the peaks overlay lose the alignment. Otherwise the app works great!

I've used this app for years and it suddenly stopped working. I contacted the developer on a Sunday afternoon, not expecting a response until at best the following Monday. The developer actually responded within 2 hours and gave me the fix for the problem. Uncommonly good service. By the way, for all those times you're asking what mountain or hill is that, this is the app to use. It's incredible.

What a brilliant App. I had been building a chart of the peaks I can see from my house and it's quite a task getting names, heights distances then correcting for earth's curvature to provide angular azimuth and elevations. This app does it instantly , and I've discovered peaks that have been illuding me for years. Amazing . And it even correctly predicts where the sun rises behind them ..

What's new

••• New data model •••
PeakFinder has been upgraded with a new data model. The mountains are displayed even faster and more precisely. In addition, less data is required.

Important: When updating to the new data model, PeakFinder loads the data within a radius of 150km/100mil around your current location. If your next trip is further away, you can simply load additional areas via the 'Offline mode' menu.
