SituationWare is a shared-situational-awareness and incident-coordination tool
for emergency responders — fire, EMS, law enforcement, emergency management,
search-and-rescue, and event safety teams.
Everyone on the team works from the same live map. Positions, markers, and notes
update in real time, so the whole team sees the same picture of the incident —
even when cell coverage is poor. SituationWare is built to keep working when the
network does not.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Share one live map — See teammates' GPS positions update in real time on a
shared incident map, with street, satellite, and topographic base layers.
• Drop and manage markers — Long-press to add markers with titles, notes, custom
icons, and photo/audio/video attachments. Mark threat zones with hot / warm /
cold radius rings.
• Draw the plan — Sketch routes, areas, and boxes with adjustable color and
weight. Drop geo-referenced image overlays such as floor plans or aerials.
• Coordinate by chat — Team chat delivers messages in real time and queues them
when you are offline, then syncs when you reconnect.
• Run tabletop exercises — Facilitators (Commanders) can flag exercise mode, send
or schedule injects, and launch pre-scripted scenarios for training and drills.
• Predict fire spread — Model wind-driven fire spread over time and visualize the
expanding rings hour by hour.
• Field tools that matter — Measure distance, switch coordinate formats
(MGRS / decimal degrees / DMS), read a live scale bar, and snap the map to your
position.
• Reference at hand — Quick links to FEMA flood maps, ICS forms, Ready.gov, and
the National Weather Service.
BUILT FOR THE FIELD
• Works offline — Map tiles cache to the device, and marker, path, and chat edits
are queued locally and replayed automatically when you are back online.
• Secure by default — All traffic to your server is HTTPS only. Sign in with a
team code and callsign; no email, phone number, or social account is required.
• Role-aware — Observer, Responder, and Commander roles control who can do what,
with a platform super-admin for cross-team oversight.
• Your server, your data — SituationWare connects to your organization's
SituationWare backend. The server address is configurable at sign-in.
• No ads, no in-app purchases, no tracking-for-profit. Just coordination.
WHO IT IS FOR
Incident commanders, dispatchers, field responders, and emergency-management and
training staff who need a shared operating picture they can rely on — on scene, at the command post, or in a drill.
