Web3Health is a research application developed at the University of Georgia SensorWeb Lab focused on user-controlled access to and optional sharing of personal health data.
The app allows users to explicitly grant permission to access selected health data available on their device through supported platform services (such as Apple Health or Android Health Connect). Web3Health does not continuously track users. Health data is accessed only after user consent and only for the purposes selected by the user.
All data sharing is optional and initiated by the user. Users can choose what data to share, when to share it, and can stop sharing at any time. The app is designed to emphasize transparency, user awareness, and control over personal data usage.
Web3Health is intended solely for research and evaluation purposes, including the study of system behavior, user experience, and data handling approaches in a controlled research context.
The application does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or health recommendations and is not intended for clinical use or medical decision-making.
Features and functionality may evolve over time as part of ongoing research and development.
