Astrid was the best. Couldn't find a replacement for a long time after she was shut down... No one offered the feature set I wanted. Then I found this. Does everything Astrid did... But is up to date, so it's even better! The only thing missing is the little cephalopod in my notifications. Update 2018: super responsive developer. Wish I could give 6 stars. 🙂
Absolutely brilliant. I have been looking for something like this for ages. I love the flexibility that allows all sorts of repeating reminders, either from due date or completion date. The ability to hide fields that you don't use, the option of adding tasks to the calendar and the syncing with Google tasks are exactly what I needed. The fact that it is free without advertising and no subscription fees is a very welcome additional bonus. I have paid for the extra colour options to support the developer even though I didn't really need it as even the basic options are already great. Highly recommended.
Lately, really annoying feature is automatic scroll down when repetitive task is completed. Is there a way to switch it off? Otherwise it would be 5*
This is a very clean, easy to use app. If you like to customize, the color option adds tons of colors for only a couple of bucks and helps support the developer's efforts. Syncs with Google tasks. Resizable widget with its own options. I had one issue which turned out to be "operator error". I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the developer responded to my question and the issue was promptly resolved. This app is well worth taking a look. I think you'll be happy you did - I am.
I normally wouldn't review an app after I've barely used it. But I'm writing this to mention that this app is amazingly configurable... the Settings menus go on and on, and individual tasks have a lot of flexibility. For me, that's a great sign... it means that the developer isn't trying to make a "one size fits all" app with few choices. I'll aim to update this review after I've used it more.
This is an excellent task app and one of the few that actually has most of the features that I want. I've tried abiut 50 different apps so far and this is by far the closest for what I need. It is pretty intuitive and is robust. I wasnt crazy about the build-your-own filter feature as it was picking up some extra tasks in error. Also there are a few things that I wish it had: more than 4 priority categories, able to change colors, manual filtering instead of writing and/or statements, ability to count the completed items. But overall very happy with it. The widgets work well and I actively work through 2 lists as daily routine. Love it!
