About this app

Pulse Echo Sounder is the companion app for the echo sounder product brand "Pulse". Supported echo sounders are:
- PULSE red: Our 2D fish finder model
- PULSE black: Our down scan model
- PULSE blue: Our side scan model

These echo sounders are headless. This app is used to view and control them.

The Pulse app connects to the Wi-Fi access point of the Pulse echo sounder automatically. And will then show the echogram, the depth and the temperature. Optionally an IP connector is provided to provide extreme wireless range for Android RC devices like Skydroid G20/G30 and SIYI UniRC and transmission solutions like SIYI HM30.

The Pulse Echo Sounder app will automatically detect the presence (and model) of the Pulse transducers, connect and adapt the user interface to fit the transducer's capabilities.

The Pulse app offers you an intuitive way to read and control your echo sounder. All important controls are directly accessible in a left-hand tool bar for fast adjustments. The bar visibility can be toggled by a single click to allow a clean echo sounder screen.

Echogram pause with track back:
Pause echogram with no fear you will loose data, this is still captured when pausing and will be available when you exit the pause. During pause you can scroll through the historic echogram. Using your finger tip you get a magnifying square to study details. The magnifying box follows your finger movements around the echogram.
If you have a supported autopilot app, the Pulse Echo Sounder also knows the position of your moving crosshair. Add a waypoint in the autopilot by tap of a button from the echogram.

Echogram color maps:
Select among 6 single color and 14 multi color palettes. Anyone should find a favorite! Tag the options you prefer the most to filter out your choices.

Echogram TVG:
TVG is enabled by default for all models and helps rendering of uniform color and second echo to determine bottom hardness for PULSE red and black. For side scan some tuning options are available, and here TVG may also be disabled for certain conditions.

Point of view:
For the PULSEblue, 3 full screen options include vertical side scan, horizontal down scan and side scan mosaic. In addition, 3 split screen options (any combination of the 3 full screen alternatives) can also be selected.
For PULSE red/black the standard horizontal flow is provided.
Side scan mosaic requires use of supported autopilot ground control station.

Depth view control:
Let the app auto track the current depth, or control it manually using the ruler. Also control depth using finger pinch control on the echogram.

Intensity:
Adjust the brightness of the echogram render using the "sun" control.

Filter:
Remove noise in the water columns using the noise filter. Or leave the filter at 0 to observe any detail.

Screen speed:
Easily adjust the echogram screen flow speed by finger pinch or control. For side scan the speed can be set to match the boat driving speed to avoid altering dimensions of objects that are detected.

Additional settings:
NMEA server to allow DBT and MTW messages reach other apps, compensate for transducer installation depth, initiate an echogram recording and initiate playback, get insight in meaning of color palettes and more available as additional settings and features.
