doesn't work when I click the start button it just says orbot has stopped working. I just have to mention for Orbot and web, when u get instructions it says "you can browse sites like these ones, facebook, etc". Come on people, when you market a product at least know proper English....If you say "these" it's implied for ex I show you a bunch of apples and say "would you like some of these?" of course I'm speaking of apples I don't need to say "ones" after it. JUST THESE. Jesus it bugs the crap out of me
If Helen Keller and Stephen Hawking had a baby, it still wouldn't be as slow as this apps connection speed. 2/5
Umm... Is this thing on? Interesting idea, but not ready for prime time. If you leave it on and tor everything, it will eventually disconnect and fail to reconnect, leaving you totally out of touch. I don't even think it tries. A second problem is there doesn't seem to be any facility for supporting open wifi sign-on pages, rendering them unusable, despite open wifi being an ideal place for this to enhance privacy.
Some difficulties Pls can anyone help me out on how to use tor/orbot to bypass restricted wifi in my office? Facebook and some other social sites and apps are blocked, restricted wen I connect to wifi. How do I configure my orbot? I have used the localhost and 8118 port but still still can't open restricted sites.
At the beginning... I couldnt even connect to the server. It said error 6 when I started orbot and I click on check browser (orweb) I was like whats wrong with this app? Why did you update it ?!now I solved the issue. The trasnsparent proxy was causing problems so I had been forced to remove it
GuardianProject, we STILL have a (Samsung GS4 & Tab3 7") problem: orbot fatally hangs Android KitKat WiFi, TouchUI, Settings; loses 4G network on Lollipop spuriously & frequently running 15.0.1-RC-3. PITA. com.sec.mts.nts.android.proxy & Samsung Link (aka AllShare) DISABLED. Android 4.4.2 & orbot mutual hang problems whenever WiFi is enabled, orbot conflicts w/ com.android.systemui - BOTH HANG. orbot also hangs Android Settings app, when WiFi enabled. unable to start in APP-mode on Lollipop. orbot OK over 3G/4G, unrooted. something else is STILL wrong on KitKat. Is the "plan" for orbot v15 to abandon KindleFire HD, too?
