Fellow grad students: download this immediately! Zotero is absolutely indispensable if you need to read and keep track of scientific publications. Any paper you can find a DOI for you can automatically import (often along with a PDF) which you can then open, read, and annotate from within the app. The app automatically syncs across devices and integrates with MS Word, making adding citations a breeze. Zotero has transformed my research for the better — I just wish I'd started using it sooner!

Very useful for helping me organize & annotate papers & reports for research. However, it often glitches when I try to add webpages, loading forever but often never adding them. It's worse if I need to add a PDF directly. I usually have to download a copy or add it to my Google Drive & then manually add it. The cost of extra storage is also insanely high (e.g. $20 for 2 GB & $60 for 6 GB). For comparison, 2 Terabytes from Google is $99 per year. Really hoping to see better storage prices soon!

simple and great app for reading and notetaking on pdfs. missing: highlighter/semi transparent brush so you can highlight areas that are not necessarily text (i have a "photo pdf" now that is not possible to highlight properly)
