About this app

Flying to Cebu or anywhere in the Philippines? Learn the sentences that matter in Cebuano, the language locals commonly call Bisaya, before you land.

Quick Cebuano is not a course that takes months. It is the fastest route to the phrases you actually use while travelling: greeting people, ordering food, paying, asking for directions, making small talk and getting help in an emergency. Two to three hours, with no prior knowledge needed.

CEBUANO, BISAYA OR TAGALOG?
Many travellers study Tagalog and only discover after arriving that a different language is spoken where they are going. On Cebu, Bohol and across much of the Visayas and Mindanao, Cebuano is the everyday language. Most locals simply call it Bisaya. Cebuano and Bisaya refer to the same language.

A few phrases of Bisaya let you speak to people in the language they use every day.
