About this app

RTSP-Player is a simple and lightweight live stream player for IP cameras supporting the RTSP protocol. It allows quick and convenient playback of video streams from surveillance cameras, video doorbells, and other network devices that support RTSP streaming.

The app offers two connection setup options: users can manually enter the full RTSP URL or use a convenient form with a list of popular camera models, making it easier to generate the correct stream address without needing to know the exact syntax.

RTSP-Player focuses on stable and smooth video playback without unnecessary features. It supports standard streaming formats and can run in the background or full-screen mode.

Straightforward app, enter the URL and it works right away. Zooming in and out is supported and smooth, something VLC can't do. One thing I miss is the ability to create shortcut on the home screen for 1 tap access to my camera. Hope it can be added

Works well. An alternative to VLC, which I've used previously for RTSP streams. A bonus: VLC currently seems not to work using an IPv6 connection, but RTSP Player does, providing I choose ExoPlayer as Playback library (Settings/Advanced) instead of default VLC.

Good job. It is working, with minimal lag. Camera itself is hacked YI (Xiaomi chip). Aggresive spam-scam-"gimmemoney" policy of the YI pushed me to find a solution. So 5 from 5. Only thing should be added in future is an option to login into a secured stream.
