About this app

Photograph any car and Car Identifier names the make and model, places the generation, gives a year range instead of a fake-precise year, and estimates a used-market value band.

WHAT ONE PHOTO GIVES YOU
• An estimated used-market value band in US dollars, at the top of the result
• The manufacturer and the model nameplate, as precisely as the photo allows
• The generation, and the pre or post facelift window when the lights settle it
• The likely engine and driven wheels, hedged as one exterior angle justifies
• What the visible details suggest about trim, as inference not a finding
• The cues the identification rests on, and the siblings it could not rule out
• Ownership notes widely reported for that generation, weak points included

THE VALUE RANGE LEADS THE RESULT
The question comes up in front of the car or a listing photo, so the estimate sits in its own card under the name. It is always a band, never a single figure, and it can honestly come back as Varies widely. Mileage, condition, service history, accident record, title status and the options fitted all move the real number, and a photograph shows none of them. The band is a typical United States asking range.

IT WIDENS THE RANGE INSTEAD OF INVENTING A YEAR
Generations run for years and a facelift splits them, so a single model year appears only when the image pins it. Platform siblings and rebadged models share a face on purpose, so when two candidates cannot be separated the app names the likely one and lists the alternative. A wrapped, debadged or night-shot car lowers confidence, and aftermarket wheels are never read as a trim.

WHAT IT READS ON THE CAR
Any exterior angle works, and so does an interior shot. The badge comes first, then the light signature, which dates a car more tightly than the body does, then the grille, roofline and wheels.

WHAT IT IDENTIFIES
Cars of every kind: sedans and saloons, hatchbacks, wagons and estates, coupes, convertibles, SUVs and crossovers, pickups, vans and minivans, sports cars and supercars, classic and vintage cars, hybrids and electric vehicles.

ASK ABOUT THE CAR YOU JUST IDENTIFIED
Ask AI is a conversation that stays on cars: how to read a badge or a lamp signature, what separates two siblings, and what to check on a used example.

YOUR GARAGE, KEPT
Every identification is saved on your device with its photograph, in the Garage. An afternoon of listings reads back later, and a saved result opens with no connection needed.

WHO IT IS FOR
• Used-car buyers standing in front of a car or a listing
• Car spotters who want the generation, not just the badge
• Sellers wanting a sanity check before setting an asking price
• Parents answering the questions a car-obsessed child asks

HONEST ABOUT WHAT A PHOTO CAN DO
This app is an AI reading of the photo you take. Any value it shows is a rough market range, not an appraisal, an inspection, or an offer. Trim, engine and facelift often cannot be settled from one exterior angle, so the app gives ranges instead of false certainty. Notes about common problems describe how a model generation is generally reported, not the condition of the car in your photo. Before you buy or sell, get a pre-purchase inspection and a vehicle history report.

The app does not read number plates, does not identify people in your photos, and does not look up owners, registrations, or vehicle history.

This is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any vehicle manufacturer. Manufacturer and model names belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe what the app identified.

Identifying a car needs an internet connection. Results you have already saved stay on your device and can be reopened at any time.
