About this app

With the authentication.gov.pt application, citizens can activate the Digital Mobile Key (CMD) with a video-selfie and validating their citizen card.
In this application, you can also generate a temporary security code, or use biometric validation from your mobile phone, as an alternative to the SMS code, to authenticate yourself with CMD in public or private portals.
It also has a service for managing access authorizations to your data and signing documents.

Ratings and reviews

Only in the Portuguese language. Portugal invites EU citizens but does almost nothing to help them find their way through the bureaucratic nightmare of the Portuguese government. This app is just another example. You can't even copy/paste text from the app into a translation app.

I see a lot of people here complaining that the app keeps screwing up somewhere along the process. But, wait: you guys are able to make the app even start? Must be awesome! It doesn't even do anything for me, instant shutdown every single time ❤️

Awful, rubbish. Did this app has ever been tested?? Who coded it? who tested it? A trainee guy? This app is not in a decent functional state that can be published in the store. Shame on you. I'm a mobile software engineer, if you want me I can do it in my spare times for free at least in the name of Portugal, it could not be worse. I would suggest to fire all the software team in particular the guy in charge of the camera screens. Are you sure you pushed the production version to the store?
