Radio Carrasco officially began broadcasting its signal as a station owned by the Federation of Intercultural Communities Carrasco Tropical, on June 6, 2007, with personnel committed to the cause of the Organization of the Carrasco Federation and under the responsibility of the Secretary of Press and Propaganda Daniel Huaranca. The Executive Secretary of the Federation, Mr. Severo Huanca and the Executive, Mrs. Mary Luz Ventura, were the ones who managed the consolidation of what is now Radio Carrasco.
It is important to highlight that this medium emerged thanks to the collaboration of Mr. Saturnino Fernández who, in his intention to obtain land for his University, made contacts with leaders of the Ivirgarzama Central with the intention of donating equipment for a station.
For unknown reasons, the benefactor decided to donate his radio equipment to the Federation, which is why it bears the name Carrasco. Since its inception, the radio has worked in Federation facilities.
