Contacts: To show suggestions from contact names. You can disable this in settings
Read/Write user dictionary: Get/save word suggestion from/into android's built-in user dictionary
Write external storage(SD Card): Save new learned words data to SD card and show suggestions from them.

Ratings and reviews

Latest update is bad. The button to change between languages keeps changing it back to default (samsung) keyboard. It started happening with the latest update. Have to keep changing default setting to switch languages and start over. Please fix it ASAP. Used to love the ridmik keyboard but now it's annoying.

​I have been using Ridmik Keyboard for a long time without any issues, but recently it has become unusable due to massive battery drain. According to my phone's statistics, it is consuming 30%+ battery in less than an hour in background, even when I am not actively typing. The problem stops immediately when I uninstall the app. I love this keyboard and its phonetic layout, so I hope the developers can look into this background process/wake-lock issue and fix it in the next patch.

I’ve been using Ridmik Keyboard for a long time without issues, but recently it started draining an extreme amount of battery — around 30%+ usage in just a few hours.I haven’t changed any major settings, so it seems like a recent bug or update issue. Even when not actively typing, it appears to be running heavily in the background. please fix this bug.
