About this app

Get ready to be amazed!

What is it?
It is an efficient home screen replacement that sets itself apart with its focus on privacy, speed, and simplicity. Your device's battery life is sure to see an improvement when compared to other launchers.

How does it work?
Start applications and more from this home screen by typing in a few letters. You can search for apps, shortcuts, contacts, and settings in 5 milliseconds. If you don't want to see a grid of you're applications, all the time, that just sit on your home screen doing nothing, then this is the app for you.
With frequent usage, the app improves exponentially and efficiently locates the information you require.

Need to call or message someone?
You don't need to open call logs, contacts, or message apps, just enter the letters of the person you're trying to find and push the "phone" or "message" button. The letters don't have to be continuous. E.g. pressing "JS" will find (J)ohn (S)mith, (J)ame(s), (J)hon(s)on.

Want to add or call a number not in your Contacts?
No need to open the phone or contacts app first, just type the phone number in the search bar and select call or add contact button.

Need a web search with multiple search engines?
Phantom Launcher has 15 available search engines to choose from. All of these are accessed in modes as private as possible and using encryption. As default, it uses Phantom Search, a private web search engine without any ads or trackers, but you can use any search engine you like. If it's not on the list you can add it. To do a web search start by typing what you are trying to find in the Phantom search bar. It will display multiple selected engines. After you choose one it will open a browser or an installed app (YouTube, Google), depending on the intent, to begin the search. If the results are not what you need, exit the opened app, go back to the launcher, and then choose another search engine, without needing to type the search term again.

Does it do more?
If you need a simple math operation (e.g. 234*432, 2/22, 123+321,123-321), type it in Phantom Search directly.
It will give you the result without the need for a calculator app.

What about customization?
Phantom Launcher has lots of settings available divided into multiple categories. It comes configured in a way that suits most people and offers a good experience while saving battery life.
It has 8 light and dark themes to choose from, and it supports various icon packs and widgets.
Tags are an excellent way to organize apps, shortcuts, and contacts. You can tag any of these with multiple keywords that would ease the way items are found.
The icon of a tag is created using the first letter of the word in the tag, but this can also be an emoji. If an emoji is used that would place it as the tag icon.
The favorite bar gives you quick access to apps, shortcuts, contacts, or tags.
There are two modes in Phantom Launcher: standard mode with widgets and history, and basic mode with no widgets that always show history. Both modes support finger gestures.
This app allows users to lock their screen and view recent apps with a selected gesture, requiring permission to access the Android Accessibility API. Granting access will not result in any data collection or additional access beyond the mentioned functions.

I'm sorry to say that I need to share some bad news.
Phantom Launcher is compatible with Android Jelly Bean or higher. Depending on the version of the operating system, certain limitations and incompatibilities may arise, especially on older OS versions.
Also, it appears that EMUI and MIUI operating systems have compatibility issues, especially in system widgets, color, icon shape, and maybe more.
Please rest assured that we are actively addressing these bugs and will resolve them promptly. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.

This app is based on the KISS open-source project, with additional optimizations, bug fixes, and essential enhancements.
Enjoy!
