The New International Version (NIV) for mens and woman's is an English translation of the Bible first published in 1978. The Holy Bible was updated in 1984 and 2011. The New International Version was published to meet the need for a modern translation done by Bible scholars using the earliest, highest quality manuscripts available. Of equal importance was that the Holy Bible be expressed in broadly understood modern English.
A team of biblical scholars, representing a variety of evangelical denominations, worked from the oldest copies of reliable texts, variously written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. Each section was subjected to multiple translations and revisions, and those assessed in detail to produce the best option. Everyday Bible readers were used to provide feedback on ease of understanding and comprehensibility. Finally, plans were made to continue revision of the Bible as new discoveries were made and as changes in the use of the English language occurred.
The NIV translators are united by their conviction that the Bible is God’s inspired Word. That, along with their years of studying biblical languages, helps them to capture subtle nuances and the depth of meaning in the Holy Bible.

I personally like the app. I don't like the ads especially the inapproprate ones below the Scriptures.

I do read from this often, but I have two concerns. 1) the ads at the bottom cover up the last line of some of the chapters in each book, 2) there are ads at the bottom of each page that are intrusive. ie: flashing, bright colors that hinder reading at night.

The layout is very good and finding chapter and verse is very easy as well. Having it on one's phone means you can Read God's word and those of his Son, Jesus's Christ, at any time day or nigjt. As a committed Christian of many years, I have no hesitation in recommending it
