View your RTSP IP cameras on your phone and save motion clips while you watch. RTSP Viewer connects to compatible cameras on your local Wi-Fi network, with on-device motion detection, face capture, and a local clip library.
FIND YOUR CAMERAS
Scan your Wi-Fi network for RTSP streams, or add a camera address manually. Use standard RTSP ports or choose custom ports. Save camera entries and sign-in details for easy access next time.
WATCH LIVE VIDEO
Open a camera to see its live stream. Switch to full screen, mute the audio, or listen to camera audio when available. Check stream details such as resolution and codec. View one camera at a time.
RECORD MOTION WHILE WATCHING
Turn on motion detection to save video clips when movement is detected. Adjust sensitivity for each camera and choose how long recording continues after motion stops: 15, 30, or 60 seconds. Save the current clip immediately or discard it. Each clip is limited to three minutes.
CAPTURE AND GROUP FACES
Enable face detection to save face crops on your phone. Group similar faces for each camera, give groups names, and adjust how closely faces must match. You can also scan a saved clip for faces. Detection and grouping depend on image quality and may make mistakes.
REVIEW YOUR CAPTURES
Browse clips from all cameras in the Captures tab, or open one camera's motion clips. Filter by Everything, Today, or With faces. Play saved footage, review detected events, and export or share a clip when you choose.
KEEP STORAGE LOCAL
Motion clips and face captures are stored on your phone. Viewing and detection do not require an app account or cloud recording service. Camera usernames and passwords may still be required. No ads or in-app purchases.
BEFORE YOU START
Use a camera that supports RTSP, and enable RTSP in its settings if necessary. Connect your phone and camera to the same Wi-Fi network. Compatibility depends on the camera and its stream configuration.
Detection and recording work only while the live camera screen is open. Leaving that screen, closing the app, or sending it to the background stops them. RTSP Viewer does not provide background surveillance or motion notifications. Recorded clips contain video only, even when live camera audio is available.
