About this app

Pixel Art is a pixel art editor for phones and tablets. Draw game sprites, icons, avatars, tiles and retro 8-bit and 16-bit art, animate them frame by frame and save as PNG or GIF. No sign-up, no internet, and every artwork saves itself.

PIXEL-PERFECT DRAWING
• 12 tools: pencil, brush, eraser, fill, color picker, line, frame, block, circle, clone stamp, hand and zoom
• Undo and redo, a grid over the pixels, pinch zoom and fit-to-screen
• Lines, frames, blocks and circles land on whole pixels — no blur, no half-tones
• Canvas from 8 × 8 to 1024 × 1024, up to 4096 × 4096 in Pro as far as your device memory allows; ready sizes for an icon, sprite, tile and scene
• Transparent or white background — a sprite with transparency is ready for your game
• Symmetry on the vertical, horizontal or both axes: strokes, lines, shapes, stamp and fill are all mirrored

COLORS AND PALETTES
• Basic palette plus four gradients of 20 shades each
• Custom color: a saturation and brightness field, a hue bar, R, G, B sliders and HEX input
• Opacity from 0 to 255 and #AARRGGBB HEX — semi-transparent pixels for glass, water and Minecraft textures
• Custom palettes (Pro): save a set of colors and reuse it in any artwork

PHOTO TO PIXEL ART
• Turn a photo into pixel art: a picture from your gallery is scaled down to 16–256 pixels and reduced to 8, 16, 32 or 64 colors
• See the result next to the original before it lands on the canvas

ANIMATION, LAYERS AND TILES (PRO)
• Layers with visibility, duplicate and merge down
• Frame-by-frame sprite animation: a frame strip and preview from 2 to 24 frames per second
• GIF export — the file goes straight to Pictures / Pixel Art
• Tile mode for seamless textures: copies around the canvas show how the edges meet

MY ARTWORK
• Autosave: close the app and pick up right where you left off
• A gallery of your artwork with previews, size and last edit date
• Rename, duplicate, share or delete any artwork

EXPORT AND SHARING
• Open PNG and JPG from your gallery — your own artwork opens as is
• Save as PNG at ×1 and ×8, or ×16 and ×32 in Pro — upscaled with no smoothing, so a pixel stays a crisp square
• Share to messengers and social apps in one tap

PIXEL OF THE DAY
• A new topic and a four-color palette every day, the same for everyone
• A 32 × 32 canvas and a daily streak — a reason to draw every day

WIDGETS AND SHORTCUTS
• Quick start 4×1, Latest artwork 4×2, Pixel of the day 2×2 and Showcase 2×2 widgets
• App shortcuts: new 32 × 32 canvas, continue, open PNG

SETTINGS AND LOOK
• Light and dark themes, or follow the system
• Grid color, zoom sensitivity, undo and redo with the volume keys
• Comfortable in portrait and landscape, on phones and tablets
• The interface is drawn pixel by pixel, so icons stay crisp on any screen

WHO IT IS FOR
Indie developers and gamedev — sprites, tilesets and icons for games. Retro artists — 8-bit and 16-bit art without extra menus. Beginners — a simple pixel drawing app that makes sense from the first launch.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
Here you draw yourself instead of coloring a picture by numbers. The editor works offline, never asks for an account and does not hide basic tools behind a subscription.

PIXEL ART PRO
No ads, canvas up to 4096 × 4096, custom palettes, export up to ×32, layers, animation with GIF export and tile mode. Subscribe weekly or yearly, or buy it once forever. You can also support development for free by watching a short video: ads switch off for an hour and one full-scale export unlocks.

Strange to use and unintuitive at first. However, is very good and has very little-to-no ads. I wish there were more default color pallets available, but the current selection is perfectly fine as is, as you can edit the color you have selected by taping the upper-most color in the color picker. All in all, good app. Edit: I realized this looks AI so I'm changing my review to 4stars.

nice & simple 2mb pixel focused drawing app. open any image to edit or just draw from scrach . it could use a full range color palette & it does force landscape mode with some ads that are a tad obnoxious. But great for simple sprite edits or pixelart on mobile, this has potential

It was just bad because of how sensitive the camera was and it was laggy. And to make it worst the pixle block are just foggy, not clean at all 1 star.
