About this app

My Words is a vocabulary learning app that turns your own content into practice. Create word lists using our powerful dictionary. Import your EPUB books, read them in the app, and tap any word or phrase to look it up and save it to your dictionary. Then study everything you've saved with flashcards, spaced repetition, and smart exercises.

Learn words in English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Russian, and Dutch, at your own pace and with your own material.

Key Features:

• Personal dictionary: Add words and phrases in seconds, complete with translations, usage examples, synonyms, and audio pronunciation.
• Book reader: Import your own EPUB books and read them inside the app. Tap any word to look it up and save it instantly, turning every book into a personalized vocabulary lesson.
• Flashcards with images: Study words and phrases using cards enriched with pictures, meanings, synonyms, and example sentences for more memorable learning.
• Spaced repetition: The app schedules reviews based on how well you know each word, so you spend time on what needs practice instead of what you already know.
• Texts: Add any text (articles, subtitles, notes), translate it, and pull out words to learn. You can also generate a practice text on any topic to build vocabulary in natural context.
• Exercises: Reinforce learning with several exercise types: dictation for spelling, speaking for pronunciation, translation tests, and multiple-choice quizzes.
• Player: Listen to your word lists and translations for passive learning during commutes, workouts, or walks.
• Phrases: Learn words inside full sentences so they feel natural in real conversation.
• Articles: Study German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Dutch words together with their grammatical articles for accurate recall.
• Popular word collections: Start quickly with ready-made sets of the most frequently used words.
• CSV import: Bring in word lists from other sources or apps.

it may be great for people that are born in certain countries, but not available for those who aren't. It requires you to pick the language you're learning and your own native language, but there are many people whose native language isn't there. So I hope the developers will make it able to choose English for example two times.

Thanks for the feedback! We’re steadily expanding our language pairs list and hope to support more combinations soon.

The app is fine for what it does but the limit of 200 words when importing csv is strange. Spent a couple of hours to compile 10000 words split by level(A1, A2 and up to C+) just to find out I can't load them all and have to split them by 200, which doesn't make any sense

Thank you for the feedback! The 200-word CSV import limit was originally related to synchronization constraints. We understand how frustrating this can be, especially for large curated lists. We plan to start working on improving synchronization and increasing the number of words that can be imported in a single CSV file.

That app is cool to collect your words to learn and practice. The dictionary is convenient, an advantage is the opportunity to lern and repeat words via kind of quizs. But I'd like to get more flexible settings for the Lern mode. For instance, I would like to have kind of "Random words from your dictionary to lern" and an ability to set words count (not only 10). Because now I must create many categories to devide the words and pick one out each time to get the different words.

Thanks for your feedback! You can learn random words in Manual Mode: the app picks them randomly and you choose any exercise. In Cards you can repeat all words; other exercises use 10, but they’re new each time. Thanks for the suggestion, we'll consider providing more flexible learning options!
