It's good for vocabulary, and easy to use. If it taught grammar it would be an easy purchase, but since it does not, I stay with the free version. Most of the images are good but some are ambiguous, which lead to unintentional mistakes. The sound effects and congratulatory cut scenes are unnecessary and annoying after a while, and I wish I could disable them. Still, the app taught me a lot so overall a positive experience.

Love the pictures! And it's great that the app is SO flexible, - a) it is not forcing one set of vocabulary on you in a certain order, you can take the suggested route or try anything else, b) review is separate and diverse, you can choose to review as long as you want if you don't feel ready for new vocabulary.

Learning without a base language is really great, the fact that premium costs a fortune and lessons are timed is a huge dissatisfaction and likely the reason I will use duolingo for languages that exist there. The app has a lot of potential, and as Estonian does not exist on duolingo, I will give the app a chance and maybe see if this approach is better than the selection-approach of duo (too streamlined, making you learn patterns rather than language). Let's see how they do with grammar!
