About this game

Eight cells. That looks like generosity, and for about four moves it even feels like it.

Then the rest of the rules turn up. The tableau builds down in one suit only, so a black nine is no use whatsoever beneath a red ten. Empty columns accept a King and nothing else, which means the space you fought so hard to clear will sit there refusing your Queen. And four of the cells are already occupied before you touch anything: the deal puts forty-eight cards into eight columns of six and drops the last four straight into storage. You begin with half your freedom already spent.

That tension is the whole game. Cells are the easiest thing in the world to fill and the hardest thing to empty, and every card you park is a card you have quietly promised to rehouse later.

How a game runs
1. Six cards per column, eight columns, every one face up from the start
2. The four leftover cards begin in four of the eight cells
3. Build the tableau down by suit, with no wrapping, so an Ace never rests on a King
4. Any single card can sit in an empty cell
5. Only a King, or an ordered run led by a King, may enter an empty column
6. Foundations climb by suit from Ace to King

Scoring gives ten points for every card promoted and five for every card you rescue from a cell back onto a column, and it remembers your best times and your win rate.

Also here: undo across the last hundred moves, a hint whenever you want one, a tutorial with the rules, statistics, card backs and table colours, and offline play with no account. 33 languages.
