Recovery Guide – for you who are close to someone with mental health issues, is written by people who have personal experience of being close to someone who has suffered from, or who is living with, mental health issues. This guide is written for those of you close to someone with mental health issues. Perhaps you’re a parent, brother or sister, son or daughter, friend or partner. Perhaps this is a new situation for you, or something that’s been going on in your life for a long time.

Recovery Guide – for you who are close to someone with mental health issues, is written to provide information, support and opportunity for reflection. In this guide, you can read stories from others with similar experiences. The guide also contains practical tips and advice, information about where you can get support, about common thoughts and feelings associated with being close to someone suffering from or living with mental illness, as well as chapters on recovery, and how you can take care of your own health.

You choose how you want to use Recovery Guide – for you who are close to someone with mental health issues. You can read it from cover to cover, or you can select the chapters that you feel are important for you. You can go through the guide yourself, or together with someone close to you.
