About this app

TermRover is an SSH and tmux terminal client built for people who live in the terminal. Most mobile SSH apps treat tmux as something you fight with through a cramped keyboard. TermRover makes tmux a first-class citizen: sessions, windows, and panes are part of the interface, not an afterthought.

Connect to your servers, drop into a tmux session, and pick up exactly where you left off — on your phone or tablet.

WHY TERMROVER

• tmux, first-class — Attach to tmux sessions with a native session picker, quick-switch between windows, and one-tap prefix actions for the commands you reach for most. No prefix gymnastics on a touchscreen.

• Built for thumbs — A smart keyboard bar puts Esc, Tab, Ctrl, arrows, and the keys terminals actually need within reach, so you're not digging through symbol pages.

• Voice dictation — Tap the mic and speak your command. Recognition runs on-device where your phone supports it, and the transcribed text lands in a composer so you can review and edit it before sending.

• Hand images to your CLI agent — Running Claude Code, Codex, or another CLI agent on a remote box? Attach a photo and TermRover uploads it over your existing SSH connection and drops the file path straight into your prompt — no manual scp.

• Sessions that survive a glance away — Pop over to another app to copy a command or check a message, and your session holds its connection for a short grace period instead of dropping your shell the instant you switch away.

• Themes — Carefully tuned colour schemes for long sessions, light and dark.

SECURITY & PRIVACY

• Your credentials never leave your device. SSH passwords and keys are encrypted at rest using the Android Keystore, and are only ever sent as part of the SSH handshake to the host you connect to.

• Host-key verification — TermRover remembers each server's host key and warns you if it ever changes, protecting you against interception.

• No accounts, no backend. Your hosts, keys, and settings stay on your device. The only data that leaves is optional, anonymised crash and usage diagnostics — which you can turn off in Settings — and the SSH connections to the servers you configure.
